ELCA Rostered Leaders of Southern Minnesota

Who? What? Why? How?

WHO?

Continuous Growth Pathway (CGP) is YOU.

CGP is ELCA Rostered Leaders (Deacons and Pastors) across southern Minnesota. Both SE and SW MN Synods of the ELCA partner with Gustavus Adolphus College to bring opportunities for collegiality and learning.

WHAT?

CGP is Continuing Education.

You need learning opportunities that are in your back yard. (Or closer than always driving to Minneapolis!) CGP is retreats and workshops created for what you are needing to be a healthy person and leader: preaching workshops, deep theological dives, retreats where you don’t have to “do” anything but retreat. You tell us what’s missing from the offerings and we will work to make it happen.

CGP is collegiality.

The special sauce of CGP is connecting with other rostered leaders. Studies show that healthy leaders are connected to other healthy leaders (even if you don’t feel particularly healthy). It’s amazing to not have to explain or hold back with others who are swimming in similar waters. We do our best to connect you with others in groups that meet virtually or in person or both. Each year, you have the chance to stick with your group or try again.

WHY?

You matter.

The heart of who you are as a person is critical to how you function in ministry. We want you to have resources for ministry, but we look for what you need as a human person first. The Continuous Growth Pathway is designed to see you and meet you at the heart of who you are. So you can thrive.

HOW?

Pay $500 annually and you participate in all the things CGP offers. Housing and food are taken care of. Resources and materials are provided. Pay quarterly. Pay twice a year. Pay all at once. We understand that every church functions in its own way. You can pay on line or through the mail. See the “Donate” page for all the details and links.
